ELITE REALAXIOM CONCONI TRAINING KIT (CD & MANUAL)

ELITE REALAXIOM CONCONI TRAINING KIT (CD & MANUAL)

CONCONI TEST is a progressive test that correlates work output and heart rate. Heart rate increments observed during low to moderate physical activity are directly proportional to increases in exercise intensity. This relationship is lost when submaximal exercise intensities (eg., 80% of maximum effort) are reached. At the same point, depending on the fitness of the subject being tested, heart rate begins to increase less than speed. This phenomenon is evident in a graph showing the exercise intensity values (expressed as speed, cadence, or watts) and the heart rate measured during a typical Conconi test(see Figure). When a point is reached at which the heart rate no longer matches the increasing effort, a bending of the straight line is observed. This deviation from the straight line is called the deflection point, indicated as Def in the Figure. The deflection point coincides with the anaerobic threshold. The deflection point occurs at the anaerobic threshold, limit above which lactate accumulates within the muscles and in the blood.
